In 2006, Director and CEO, Stephen Ellis purchased his first Australian commercial property: the iconic art-deco building at 1 Ingham Road, Townsville.  Through his vision, he systematically renovated the project from top to bottom, restoring it to include multiple residential dwellings on upper level and office / retail space on ground floor.  Since then, Stephen has developed numerous commercial properties around the city.

Another notable success was 3 Ramsay Street- a 1942 war bunker designed and built for General MacArthur.  The historical property was badly in need of refurbishment.  $750,000 later, Stephen’s restoration was recommended for an award by Historians. This building now offers 1700m2 of fully refurbished office space within a few minutes of the airport and CBD.

Ellis Developments also has an award-winning design and construct arm for larger commercial work. This division endeavours in small to medium sized unit developments through to individually tailored commercial / industrial space.  Past projects include building large multi-story developments for the State Government from South East Queensland up to Townsville.  Tasked with designing for full disability access, the team produced a sprawling single-story, lightweight construction along with a multi-level suspended slab with disabled passenger lift access through all levels.

Our in-house team, headed by Stephen Ellis, includes architectural and project management services. So whether you are looking for residential design and construct, or individual warehousing projects, we have the in-house team to advise and manage your project through to completion.
